Its another day at work

SHE called me at 1125am this morning.

SHE: "Er...Bee Keow, Maimunah and Sartha are busy helping me with some checking, can you help me to call this Yvonne from Premas and ask her to call me before 12pm? I will ask Maimunah to send you her contact. "

Maimunah just sits outside HER cubicle.

Seconds later, Maimunah sent me Yvonne's contact and so i called her up.
However, Yvonne is driving when i called her but i did convey that SHE wants her to call HER.

5 secs after i put down the phone, SHE called me.

SHE: "Er...has Maimunah sent you Yvonne's contact?

Me: "Yes. I called already but she's driving. She will called you after she reached office."

SHE: "Did you tell her to call me before 12pm?"

Me: "She driving leh" -_-"'

Side note: You mean in order to fulfill your requirement of calling you before 12pm (because you will be going on half day leave), she has to park her car aside to call you?

SHE: "Er...then can you help me to call her later ................."

Me: I'll messaged her and asked her to call you before 12pm."

You have the time to ask Maimunah to send me the contact and can afford to call me TWICE but you CAN'T MAKE THAT ONE SIMPLE CALL TO YVONNE YOURSELF?

This is my brother and he likes to call himself MUSCLE MAN. :p Just because he has a bit more flesh on his arms there... :p

While making his usual poses in front of me, showing me his muscles, the corner of my eye spotted the medal and suggested to put on the medal and take pictures.

Never show how capable and competent you are, if not some BITCHES will keep piling you with things since you can do it. And people will keep coming to you since they know you can help them.

But how not to when it there is appraisal? :(

Helper

A torturous friday at work again.

I have to say, this week is not too bad though cause SHE was on MC for 2days and half day leave on Thursday. I was so hoping that SHE doesn't turn up for work on Wednesday. But... Fat Hope!

Friday has to make it a sour note.

As "reported", she came back from lunch at 3pm.

Gave a piece of paper printed with tables and words that is obviously created from MS Word at 4pm. She wanted it to be recreated and fill up with other information. But she did not give the soft copy. Wanted us to created from scratch. SHE asked Maimunah to ask me to help her.

Get this clear. Asked ME to help Maimunah!

Seriously, its just drawing tables, typing in the information. What's so hard about it that i must help her with?

So, what Maimunah would prefer me to do is...She read to me and i type.

Isn't this seriously a waste of resources when one person can just complete this?

ONE OF The real reasons i figured out is that... that BLOODY BITCH likes to give work at 4pm and want it completed by 5.30pm.

AND i think i type a bit too FAST and is a bit well versed in MS applications (which is not necessary the case).

Let me tell you this, She gave Maimunah the work, She will instruct that i have to help Maimunah. (2persons do)
However, if others give this piece of work, they will only require one person doing it. (1 person do)

This is what i call unfair!

And, what she wanted us to create is somewhat similar to what Rebecca has created on MS Execl!
Thing would seriously be easier if we used Rebecca's format and amended from there!

BUT, there are always SMART ALEC around! SHE IS ONE!

BBus (Act) RMIT

One joyous announcement:

That is after 2 and a 1/2 yrs and $18K spent.
But, everywhere nowadays is degrees holders leh :(

The first time i feel frustrated at work :'(

Tomorrow is Monday, a work day and i am feeling so vexed and helpless. This is all because of HER. This woman has been "torturing" me the past weeks.

I have always hold my patience and tolerance in high regard. I believe i am one of the most patience, obedient and tactful person in front of others (except my bf and family). But this manager has shown me that one shouldn't be too obedient, patient and tactful because some people just simply are not worth it.

SHE is a manager and possibly the worst.
Let's just start with the number of EAs that she had droven away. In the duration of 2 years, 3 EAs has left just because of her. It can never be the work environment or the work load, it because the way how she work.

This is the year of 2009. Can you believe that people still type with one finger? But its still ok. Can you believe that she doesn't know how to move the slides in powerpoint? She can even change the bullet style as well? She lives in the century where she scribbles on paper and get you to type for her. Unbelievable!

She treat people like Sh**. She moves the bare minimum. She will call your name and you have to walk to her cubicle and see what she wants from you.

Everything she asks you to do is urgent and you are expected to put all things down and attend to her work. Nothing is more urgent than her work. Because she will always bring out all the management names to pressure you to help her.

Like last friday, she called and ask me to type the powerpoint for her and she goes like
"DMD mention your name and say you can help me with it"

Heck it man! DMD only heard my name ONCE and there's no way he can remember my name and say that i can help her. Look, how scheming she is right? Use management names to pressurize me.

Still never mind, anyways, this is not the first time that use management names to pressurize me.

Then, i helped her. Fine, she is also our team so i have to help her since she has no EA and i am now the only EA in the team.

Do you know how much time i wasted just by :

I type on ppt, print out hardcopy, she amend on hardcopy, pass to me, i amend on ppt, print out, she amend on hardcopy, pass to me, i amend on ppt.

This whole process took place like for 2hours on friday only. Not counting the previous days, weeks and months!
This is so unproductive! And the amount of papers wasted in this midst of cost cutting timing.

For the record, Mr Toh and Mr Yeo do their own ppt. They type on their own.

Never mind, its past 530pm (my knock off time). She still has the cheek to ask me what time i have to go off when its like 545pm!

While i am busy typing on the computer and wanting to go off, she call my name from her cubicle. This is BLOODY HELL!!! You mean you can't BLOODY walk out of your cubicle to pass me the paper and while i am busy helping you type? Is she handicapped? Irene (the previous EA) said she's handicapped. Now, i understand why! Totally treat me like SHIT!

Mr Toh and Mr Yeo will never do this to me!

Excuse me, i come to work at 8am is because i want to go home at 530pm. I don't come at 9+am (like what this manager did).

All these are just so call the TIP OF THE ICEBERG!

Typing job, clerk can do also de, why every time must call me? I have more work load to finish lor.
Its either i am too good or i give her too much face.
Oh! Tomorrow onwards, I, NG BEE KEOW SWEAR, I WON'T GIVE HER ANYMORE FACE!
