Tai Tai Afternoon
Sartha and I took half day yesterday.
We made an appointment for manicure and pedicure at the newly opened Nail Shop at our building. It's been a long long time since I went for the "cures". I would recommend this shop to others as it includes short massages as well and not forgetting their massage chair! Complete with tea and chocolate!
I like it how the manicurist would clean the nails and all. It's feels so shiok when they remove the unnecessary skin.
After the "cures" session we have to quickly rush to our next destination. Hi-tea at Shangri-La Hotel! Haha...
But it turns out to be quite a disappointment. I was told that the spread is "international" buffet but it doesn't meet my "international" expectations. The spread is too little.
Sartha was asking me " where got international?"
I analyzed the following for her:
Sushi, salmon = Japan
Salads, sandwiches = Western
Macaroon = French
Tom yam soup = Thailand
Dim Sum = Hongkong
Creme of asparagus = Western
Durian Cake = Singapore
"Neh, International lor!"
By the way, i don't find Macaroons nice at all! It tastes kinda funny!
Carousel high tea makes better value for money. As for ambiance wise, of course Shangri La wins all!
