Cycling
We have been cycling for about a month plus and counting. It was a pretty proud achievement of mine, from not knowing how to cycle at all to cycling to the furthest as of now is Sembawang Park (which we mistook a longer route which results in 18km altogether). All of these in just a month plus!
Cycling was something which I had always wanted to learn. I see this as a life skill. And the push factor was thinking that how nice if I could cycle along the coasts accompanied with the beautiful scenes when I am traveling overseas! Especially this upcoming Taiwan trip. But alas, planning till now didn't corporate any cycling in it.
He bought a white Mini Velo 7 first, letting me learn how to ride first followed by me, getting my own Tern bike (of course, the lowest grade).
It all started the void deck near his block as my so called training ground for about 2 weeks, followed by around woodlands admiralty area, vista point. The next week was to Woodlands Waterfront. It was actually shorter than expected though but was faced with a bit of hiccups. Well, whether to attribute it to this "special" month or that I am still very much an amateur. We were at Admiralty deciding to take the park connector network to waterfront but the route seems dark and eerie so I decided against it. So we turned back to get back to the roadside pavement. He rode first, wanting to find a way up thus leaving me behind. Spooky or not, I was alone in the near pitch dark and quiet surrounding, I can't seem to get my bike or rather, myself to cycle. The whole handle bar was navigating left and right vigorously when I tried to cycle.
When I relate this incident to him the next day, he told me not to "blame the toilet bowel when I can't shit!" Well, but isnt't this month.....well...
He attributed that my starting wasn't well-trained enough and emphasis more training in this area.

This was at Sembawang Park. The route was actually good for me to practise my skill of going down the slope and coordinating with my brake. It rained a little halfway through. Didn't take pictures cause I was just too drained because of the longer route and that I also don't really fancy Sembawang Park either. Ha!
He said next week is Seletar Reservoir. Yishun Dam, I would called it. Significant, for those who know me will know it.
